E-MTB components are subject to particularly high forces due to the motor and the higher weight of the mountain bike. To meet the loads, we have chosen reliable and extremely stable components. The asymmetrical E-MTB rims ensure balanced spoke tension on the drive and non-drive side. Adapted to the special requirements of E-MTBs, the rims have a reinforced rim base and reinforced nipple holes, as the acting force on the rims is on average about 25% higher than on normal MTBs. The nipple holes are drilled by the manufacturer specifically and at specific angles for the hub we use, the NEWMEN Fade MTB straightpull hub. Above all, the equally large spoke flanges on both sides allow an even braking load over both spoke sides. The low weight of the E-MTB wheels ensures optimal steering behavior. All aerycs wheels are built by hand in the Hamburg area.
